Crispy Chilli Makhana
Crispy Chilli Makhana is a delicious Indo-Chinese snack made with crunchy
fox nuts tossed in spicy, tangy sauces. Best enjoyed hot and fresh.
Ingredients
- Makhana (Fox Nuts)
- Oil (for frying)
- Butter
- Cornflour
- Salt to taste
- Red chilli powder
- Chilli sauce
- Soya sauce
- Tomato ketchup
- Vinegar
- Ginger garlic paste
- Garlic (chopped)
- Onion (chopped)
- Spring onions (for garnish)
- Water
Method
- In a bowl, mix cornflour and salt. Coat makhana evenly.
- Deep fry the coated makhana until crispy. Keep aside.
- Heat butter in a pan and sauté garlic and onions.
- Add chilli sauce, ketchup, soya sauce, vinegar, salt, and chilli powder.
- Add a little water and mix well to form a sauce.
- Add fried makhana and toss well to coat evenly.
- Garnish with spring onions and serve immediately.
