Makhana Chaat
Makhana Chaat is a refreshing and nutritious snack made with crispy
roasted fox nuts, fresh vegetables, and Indian spices. Perfect for
evening cravings without guilt.
Ingredients
- 2 cups Makhana (Fox Nuts)
- ½ cup chopped onions
- ½ cup chopped tomatoes
- ¼ cup chopped cucumber
- ¼ cup chopped bell peppers (capsicum)
- ¼ cup chopped coriander leaves
- 1 green chili, finely chopped (optional)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon chaat masala
- ½ teaspoon roasted cumin powder
- Salt to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Optional: plain yogurt and sev for garnish
Method
- Dry roast makhana in a pan until crispy. Let them cool.
- In a large bowl, add roasted makhana and all chopped vegetables.
- Add lemon juice, olive oil, chaat masala, cumin powder, and salt.
- Toss everything gently until well mixed.
- Optional: add yogurt for a creamy version.
- Garnish with sev and extra chaat masala.
- Serve immediately for best taste and crunch.
